on the former Foreign Affairs Minister, High Chief Tom Ikimi CON saying, the former Chairman of the defunct Nigerian Republican Convention has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Esanland.
In a report by Mike O. Enahoro, he stated that in the conferment of the title, the Edo Central Senatorial District Traditional Council Chairman, the Onogie of Igueben, H.R.H. Zaiki Ehizojie Eluojierior II who spoke on behalf and in the presence of the 34 other Traditional Kings in Esanland said “This conferment is not political but as a reward of the good work you have attracted to Esanland. We decided on this very unique and uncommon title and conferred it on you to also encourage other Esan sons and daughters to remember that we Esan traditional leaders are very concerned and on behalf of our people are appreciative of what our sons and daughters are attracting to Esanland.”
Among other traditional rulers who spoke in agreement with the Senatorial Traditional Council Chairman are, the Ojuromi of Uromi, Anselm Aidenojie II, the Onojie of Ewu, Alhaji(Barr.) Abdurazak Isesele Ojeifoh III, the Onojie of Ekpoma Kingdom, Barr. Anthony Ehizojie Abumere 11, etc.
High Chief Tom Ikimi was accompanied to the Palace by a former Member of the House of Representatives, the Board of Trustees Chairman, The Ighodalo Movement for Edo People, TIME, Rt. Hon. Chief Joe Edionwele, the immediate Senator who represented the Edo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, TIME BOT Member, Sen. Engr. Clifford Ordia, former Igueben Council Chairman, Hon. Chief Felix lmoisili, High Chief Hillary Ekhoye, Director general of TIME, Engr. Dr. Mike O. Enahoro, incumbent Igueben Council Chairman, Hon.
