Senator Clifford Ordia, representing Edo Central in the red chambers of the National Assembly, has sent a congratulatory message to Chief Tom Ikimi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, on his 78th birthday.
In the message, Senator Ordia said: “Hearty hurray to a quintessential leader, trailblazer, Pan-Africanist, nationalist, political juggernaut, solid party man the Oduma of Esan Land, Chief Tom Ikimi, as he clocks 78 today.
“Sir, I join all well-meaning Nigerians within and outside the country and the good people of Esanland to felicitate and congratulate you on the momentous celebration of your birthday.
“Over the years, you have become a political compass and partfinder, an icon of democracy, it’s values, culture and conventions, a titan in all fields of human endeavours that can best be described as an uncommon architectural politician of inesteemable value.
“Your vision, courage intelligence and doggedness is unequivocally second to none. I, therefore on this special day, pray that God in his magnificence will grant you more years of celebrations in strength, health and prosperity.”
Going further, he stated: “On behalf of my wife, family and the good people of Edo Central Senatorial District, permit me Sir, my dear leader, encyclopaedia of history and reference of political strategy to wish you a memorable birthday celebration.
